Wild Woodlanders is our holiday club for 8-12 year olds. Drop the kids off for a few hours at Tanglewood and in no time we’ll have them building dens, lighting campfires, using woodland tools, playing games, making new friends, getting close to nature and much, much more...

What activities have we done at Wild Woodlanders?

• Used woodland tools to make our own mallets, wood medallions, kazoos and bows and arrows.
• Whittled sticks for our damper bread and cooked it over the fire.
• Made elder beads, string and Scandinavian friendship bracelets and other outdoor crafts.
• Practised our fire lighting skills and cooked lots of campfire food - popcorn, pancakes, marshmallows, hot dogs.
• Played games and taken part in team challenges - can you cross a shark infested swamp?
• Stream dipping in our wellies to look for minibeasts.
• Followed an orienteering trail around the village.
• Practiced our archery skills with our Arrows Archery GB kit.
